TROOP 233 Anoka MN

Welcome to our website!

Our Scoutmaster – Jeff Svoboda “Training boy leaders to run their troop is the Scoutmaster’s most important job.” ~ Lord Baden-Powell

Hello, and welcome to Troop 233s home page.

Thanks for visiting us! Troop 233 was started in 1958 by the Zion Lutheran Church. Today we are one of the most active outdoor Scout Troops in the Three Rivers District and the Heart of Northern Star Council.

We count dozens of Eagle Scouts as “Troop 233 Alumni” and thanks to the wonderful support of our parents and my fellow adult leaders, we continue to grow (and go!) year after year.

Troop 233 is a Scout-run troop. We have boys ages 10 through 17 active in our troop, where we focus on running a boy-run troop. This means adults helping provide the needed structure to support and mentor the older scouts and to help them train the younger scouts.

U.S. Scouting legend Green Bar Bill Hilcourt said “Train ‘em, Teach ‘em, and Let THEM lead!” If you’re interested in the outdoors and in learning more about leadership, we’d invite you to check us out. Our outdoor program is second-to-none, with plenty of new things to do and new friends to do it with.
